raspberry ripple sundae, even on a wednesday
I definitely don't think that you should give up the blog. It has become one of my regular checked places on the web.I was toying with the idea of writing one myself. However, I do get tat feeling that mine would be very boring and no one would be interested in what a boring IT Technician would have to say for himself.Don't give up. The inspiration will come back. Who else will be able to keep us up to date with the genuine fans view of Hull City's first season in the premiership, oops sorry, Premier League? (Memory lapse as it was called that when Leeds were last in it) When I say genuine fan, I mean someone who has been with his club through thick and thin and not a fan who has decided to follow them cos they are in the top division.
Well, I'm enjoying it! My blog gets a fair bit of traffic from here too, so obviously some other people are doing so as well...
I want you to keep going. I too, visit your blog on daily basis.
Okay, okay - thanks for the reassurances (F-C, I accidentally deleted yours). I suppose when you write stuff and get next to no response it gets a little disillusioning - I'll grow up a bit now!
It's funny, Matt, bpp wrote on my site that 'the internet is empty today'. I've noticed there are times when all bloggers seem a bit 'down' simultaneuously, and this is one of them. I have no idea what the answer is, only to put the words 'topless', 'teens' and 'nude' into this comment and watch that Statcounter soar!Tell you what I'd also do; make sure you're signed up for an account at Technorati, and also start tagging your posts, which gives you more traffic.
Again, keep up the good work. I only really get around to keeping tabs on a handful of personal blogs (there are lots of great ones out there, but there are only so many hours in a day), and this is one of them. My blog also seems to get quite a bit of traffic via your blog, so I would say it's popular enough.Marking the level of popularity for a blog from the number of people commenting on it probably doesn't work that well, as I'd say only a tiny proportion of readers feel the need to chip in with anything. And even then, only when it's something that's likely to spark a comment.Google Analytics - http://www.google.com/analytics - is a handy (and free) way to check visitor numbers occasionally. Plus, it could probably measure the spike in visitors you'll get from Clair's use of 'topless', 'teens' and 'nude' above. Plus the use of the word 'moist' I've now added to this very sentence.
I don't assume anyone's going to read mine. I just note down things that would otherwise be rattling around my nut. If they chime with anyone, that's bunce. Of course, I'll become a rabid traffic whore when the book's out.
You're all very kind and Clair, I've done the Technorati thing. Be proud of me.
Yay etc. Now you can see what people are saying about you and how popular you are!
